Some things in life are created from excitement. Others are created from purpose. Held & Here by SDH was born from both—but mostly from the quiet understanding that life is precious, fleeting, and deeply connected to the people we carry with us.
As a Black woman from Philadelphia, my life has been shaped by strong roots, resilient love, and the lessons of those who came before or from me. Along the way, I’ve experienced the kind of loss that changes you—the kind that reminds you how important it is to hold close the memories of those we’ve lost while still celebrating the beauty of the people who are still here.
Held & Here by SDH is my way of honoring both.
The name reflects something deeply personal: the idea that love, memories, and legacy never really leave us. The people we’ve lost are still held in our hearts, and the people we cherish today are here with us, shaping our lives every single day.
This shop is more than a place to buy products. It’s a space for expression, remembrance, and appreciation. Many of the pieces here are customizable because our stories are not one-size-fits-all. Whether you’re celebrating family, honoring someone dear to you, or simply embracing your own unique style, I wanted to create a place where those moments could live in something tangible.
