Born in November 1970 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I learned early that life could be both beautiful and incredibly hard. I lost my mother at just six years old, an experience that shaped my strength, independence, and deep compassion for others.
As the middle child, I learned how to adapt, observe, and persevere. I was a good student, even if school was never my favorite place. I graduated high school, attended some college, and stepped into adulthood much earlier than expected.
I became a mother at 17, married at 18, and eventually raised four children — one son and three daughters. By 25, I was divorced and navigating life as a single parent determined to provide stability, love, and opportunity for my children.
I built my career through hard work and resilience, working as a professional temp employee across multiple industries before finding my long-term place in finance. No matter the role, I remained committed to growth, professionalism, and doing what needed to be done for my family.
By 37, I became a grandmother — a role that brought even more purpose and joy into my life. Today, I am the proud grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren and a lifelong animal lover whose heart was forever changed by a dog named Roscoe.
In 2023, my life changed forever.
I lost Roscoe after 13 years of unconditional love and companionship. Soon after, I experienced the unimaginable loss of my oldest child and only son, who was taken from this world at just 34 years old after being shot on the streets of Philadelphia.
The grief broke me.
I lost interest in life, in joy, in purpose. For a long time, I felt emotionally lost.
Then one day in 2024, during a quiet moment of reflection, I thought about conversations my son and I used to have about starting a business together. In my spirit, I could almost hear him asking, “What about starting that business?”
We always thought we had time.
But we didn’t.
So I decided to do it anyway.
What began as grief slowly transformed into purpose. My business became more than a company — it became healing, legacy, love, and proof that even after devastating loss, life can still create something meaningful.
This is not just a business.
This is my “why.”
This is for my son.
This is for Roscoe.
This is for every person who has ever had to rebuild themselves after heartbreak.
And this is only the beginning.
